What's In My Handbag? By Claire

My handbag is like Mary Poppins’s handbag. If you dig deep enough you’ll find pretty much anything and everything, including the kitchen sink, at the bottom! Well you just never know what situations you may face on a day to day basis and my moto is to always be prepared!

Along with the general purse, diary (my brain), iphone, keys, sunglasses etc the biggest part of my essential bits and pieces (and one which my girlfriends find highly amusing) is my cosmetics purse. It contains:

  • 8 lipglosses - A girl needs variety! Even if they are all shades of pink
  • Pevonia hand cream - Rich in Vit A & E, it helps keep my “cold weather” hands soft and hydrated and the glycolic acid keeps the skins surface smooth by slightly exfoliating my skin which is great for preventing age spots!
  • Mascara - for lunchtime touch ups
  • Eles mineral powder compact - Great for touching up those shiny t-zone areas. A mineral powder that provides a chemical free sunblock and allows my skin to breathe without clogging my pores. It contains no “nasties” and is suitable for even those with super, sensitive skin.
  • My compact mirror
  • Nail file
  • Tweezers
  • Chewing gum & mints
  • A pocket size packet of tissues and wipes.
  • Plasters - For those incredibly, uncomfortable shoes that you squeeze your feet into and rub the minute you put them on but look oh so good!
  • Pevonia phyto aromatic mist- A replenishing, refreshing and hydrating mist that I spritz on my face during the day to keep my makeup fresh and skin looking bright. It contains chamomile, Calendula & French rose to balance and restore my skins natural moisture level.
  • Anti-bacterial hand gel ... I’m a bit of a germ-a-phobe!
  • A small tin of hairspray - Just in case!
  • A sample size perfume - When you buy your perfume from the stores always ask for some samples, they’re great to keep in your handbag!

I always like to be fully equipped!
